So it's been a long, wet, dirty winter and my boat has spent many days of community service right in the middle of it all. Countless egg clusters and blood splatters have left their hazey marks.
It's time for the spring spit shine.
I'm sure this has been a topic before, but I'm interested in knowing what you feel are the best cleaning products to return a boat to its pre-slaughter bling.
Thanks

Simple green and a good brush does the trick for my sled.

Lemon joy for general purpose, simple green on the tough spots...

+1 for trying Simple Green.

I can't speak to it for sled cleaning but I used it exclusively for years to clean my dirtbikes with no adverse effects on paint or parts.

I think it's big selling point is it's mild enough to not be corrosive and noxious but still cuts through the goo and the grime. Maybe try it on a small, out-of-the-way spot on your boat and see what kind of results you get.

Failing that, get down on hands and knees and scrub the $hit out of it with Lemon Joy soapy water!

Then there's the Aqualung Method.
Take the rig down to the benefit car wash.

2Many,
Your boat dirty?? Give me a break, I would eat chili off of the floor. I once heard Chuck Wicken say, you can have good bait or a clean boat, its hard to have both-

Yarnies do make for alot easier cleanup at the end of the day-

Here's a few glory shots of my 5 year old's springer he caught after our decision to fish instead of scrub.

It was a good decision!!!

2fish or 2scrub? That is the question....

Not like it should have taken much thought, but you've obviously answered the question... and in grand 2many style at that.

Way to go, Dad!

Man... I'm really dropping the ball as a fishing Dad. First, there was eyeFISH getting LMWS into giant URBs, then came Rocket Red and his two youngest with piggy rainbows, and now I get 2MANY putting his 5 YEAR OLD on a beast of a springer. I have a lot to learn....

Nice work, all you dads out there. You are a collective inspiration.
