Who repairs your boat?

I have a Trophy 1802 with a weird fuel issue: the gauge works from full down to about 3/4, then stops there. I checked all the wiring (good), the gauge (good), replaced the float/sender (good). What's left? I'm now resigned to handing it over to someone who's seen this before and knows how to fix it. Question is, who is that someone? I've read mixed reviews for Lake Union Sea Ray ("authorized" Trophy dealer/repair)
Where do you take your boat for that quirky repair that you don't do yourself?
Thanks,
Bob

If all that checks out, I'd be looking for a hang-up in the tank. Maybe bending the float arm will help?

Not an expert but sounds like the float is stuck IF it is a mechanical sensor. Shock from hitting waves with little fuel in the tank bends the float arm like Slab said before.
Why some manufacturers permanently mount the tank or allow for access is a mystery to me since your symptoms are very common.
Cross your fingers your tank isn't glassed in.

I go to EQ Marine up on Whidbey Island in Coronet Bay. I drive past a lot of other dealers/repair shops to get there but I know the work will be done right the first time at a fair price. I took my previous boat to Sea Ray Lake Union once to get some general maintenance work done and then two more times to get them to fix the stuff they screwed up the first and second time. I'd never take my boat there again. As an example, one of the things I had them do was to replace the batteries. When I got home I found that half my electronics and bilge pump didn't work. I opened up the box and removed the battery only to discover that it had been set directly on some of the leads that were previously attached. It was an easy fix for me but the lack of care made it obvious that wasn't a place I wanted to return to.

With JD now at Cabelas in Marysville I wouldn't hesitate to take my boats there...At least I know my boats in good hands with more good people....

Jusy for jollies, bypass the ground with another wire. I have seen copper wires corrode enough internally (especially when exposed to salt air) that not enough power gets thru.
Also, not knowing the year of your boat, most of the newer fuel gauge senders are now not the pivoting arm, but a float around a vertical sender shaft, which seems to be less prone to malfunction.
