(CBS News) -- House Republicans investigating the Fast and Furious scandal have gotten the go-ahead by their party leaders to pursue a contempt citation against Attorney General Eric Holder, senior congressional aides told CBS News. The resolution will accuse Holder and his Justice Department of obstructing the congressional probe into the allegations that the government let thousands of weapons fall into the hands of Mexican drug cartels.

The citation would attempt to force Holder to turn over tens of thousands of pages documents related to the probe, which has entered its second year.

Republicans seeking to discredit the AG might want to be careful since the program began under Dumbya and I'm sure that pile of documents has a lot of stuff in it Republicans would much rather not see the light of day, too.

I'm for all of it being out there, no matter who was in charge.

I don't think anyone should get away with anything illegal, no matter what party they are from, if something illegal happened.

As I said above, I'm for all of it coming out...I just think the Republicans thinking they are helping themselves should look beyond the ends of their noses and see how much they may be hurting themselves.

Not sure why you would think that...you really think that there's some smoking gun about the program after Dumbya that's so different than what was happening during Dumbya?

The problem, of course, is that the truth won't come out, because no one cares about the truth.
