My advice would be to drive and let your woman have her hands and mouth free.
Seems like a waste of talent at the wheel.

No Salmo you are wrong...life is rather fair more or less. Especially in the courts of the USA.
But this is about forgetting to wear a seatbelt - COME ON! BAD - BAD - BAD!
Really?????????

Last time I was stopped was for no front plate. I asked why the camera man and sound man were filming, cop says for training purposes only and not to worry about it. When he was done with me the camera guys said they were crew from the Cops TV show, but they did not need me to sign a release as there was nothing worthy of putting on TV. Damn, missed my big chance to go down/up in flames.

If you go to court there is no gaurantee that your fine will be reduced. The Judge could raise it to accomodate your immature attitude. If you really want some decent advice I would check with proper legal aurhority. Some lawyers will give you a couple of minutes on the phone.

1- he didnt pull you over in a parking lot. He observed you on the street and followed in.

2- it takes 2 seconds to latch a belt. Quit being lazy.

3- you didnt forget, as you mentioned above you think you are above seatbelt safety and didnt give a damn about it.

4- Statistics have long proven the success rate of wearing a belt versus not wearing. Next I supposed you are going to say PFD's are stupid too?

5- go to court, admit being a dumbass and take the reduced fine and be happy.

6- take 2manys advice ... that is golden thumbs

7- dont reply, just pay the fine.

grin

If you really want to sound stupid, argue against wearing a seat belt.

Whether or not they should be writing you tickets for not wearing one is a whole 'nother matter, but if you don't wear a seat belt, you're an idiot.

Must be great to be perfect. A most excellent person who never forgets or makes a mistake. I've screwed up many times & hopefully from this day forward I NEVER make a mistake again....but don't count on it.

jesus Chuck, why so harsh? i ALWAYS wear my seatbelt, in case you didnt know, i was in a wreck Nov 14th of 1996, with a person who decided to drag race in the rain... we hit the wall, a 15 foot Granite and Basalt wall, at an estimated 130+ MPH by the WSP on SR900 in Renton...i put my seatbelt on about 5 seconds before we hit...i always wear it, i just forgot due to alot of sh!t on my mind... its nothing to do with lazy... and, after the fiasco last year Koke fishing, i always wear a PFD now, regardless of what someone else thinks of how i look...

now that i think about this, its actually rather funny...wonder if i should wear a pin stripe, or just jeans... havent been to court in 10 years, kinda weird...

Your best bet is to get a note from your doctor stating that wearing a seatbelt is aggrivating the herpes rash that Abu gave you his last night here in town.

Chances are, if the judge is a male, he knows Aboo and will toss it out.

You know what I do when I make a mistake, bwp? I own it, and I don't start looking for some reason why it wasn't my fault.

I find it helps me keep from f.ucking up all the time.

You obviously think too god damn much then. I get in the car and before I put a key in the ignition or if I am the passenger I slide in ....

and buckle up. As passenger that car dont move one inch until I am buckled, plain and simple. Its not something I forget - its a process.

I am teaching a 15 1/2 yr old to drive right now. Its down right phuggin scary since her brother pretty much jumped in and got it. She is a work in process.

She also doesnt forget her seatbelt.

Get off the excuses, as Dan said take ownership of your issue and right it.

You will soon forget about it rofl

1. Stop trying to bullsh!t us and start wearing your seatbelt.

2. Pay your Stupid Tax.

3. Be grateful for the free legal advice and move on.

Chuck, i wasnt driving... i was the passenger... i fVckin forgot for litterally a minute or maybe even 2.... when i am driving, i put me belt on just like you do.... i dont have any problem owning up to anything.. you know my name, run it through Washington Courts Search, and you will see my vast criminal record....

what i do have a problem with, is the situation of how and why we were stopped...and the fact that i didnt see him, and he appeared right behind us, in a private parking lot... if he was sitting in the bank, while i pulled in and passed him, (how he could have seen that i didnt have a belt on, and i didnt see him is beyond me) i wasnt on the road when he pulled us over.... cops can do what they want yes, but other people in this thread have stated the parking lot situation just like i have...

fVck it, im going to court... ill wear the pin stripe suit, and the Ness 1980s era Hawks hat, both the earrings in, and JUST BE ME.... theres a reason ive never been to jail, or really in trouble in general, and thats because im ME..

thanks everyone, this was interesting to say the least...

Enjoy the handcuffs ... yer Fk'd rofl

Still trying to justify it instead of accepting responsibility ... get over yourself.

Its illegal to not have a seatbelt on.

You were caught not wearing a seatbelt in a moving car.

Is this really that tough to comprehend?

+1000

Recently I got a speeding ticket with my 12 Y.O. grandson in the car. I was polite to the officer, accepted the ticket graciously and went on with my day.

As I explained to the grandson, when you break the rules there are consequences.

Quit yer belleyaching, man up, pay it, and move on.
