Congress is ridiculous. They yap about all our debt yet don't miss a blink of sleep to give themselves raises, take private jets whenever they travel, put their kids through college on taxes dollars, and above al not do their appointed jobs. I honestly feel a majority of the people in Congress have a sense of entitlement and feel that they will always be there as the incumbents. It got shaken up a little bit but over all I do not see people willing to branch out and make decisions that need to be made. They are more about appeasing their supporters opposed to what is best for the Nation.

You forgot Obama isn't American either.

When you are a RWWJ you leave out little tid bits like the fact that the R alternatives were soundly rejected as well.

It's just the usual political crap out of DC ceased on by mental midgets.

"Senate rejects Obama budget, Republican alternatives'

"as Republicans forced votes on the competing budget plans to highlight Democrats’ failure to advance a formal budget resolution.

The Senate has failed to adopt a formal budget resolution, laying out spending and revenue targets for the coming year, for three years.

Democrats say the exercise is unnecessary this year because Democrats and Republicans wrote spending caps for the year into law in the hard-fought summer deal that raised the nation’s debt ceiling.

Republicans counter that the debt deal does not replace a legal requirement that Congress adopt a budget resolution for the year."

"Obama’s budget envisioned raising taxes on those making more than $250,000 and lowering the deficit over time, in part by capping agency spending.

But it did not lay out a date when the budget would be in balance and it also included $350 million in new stimulus dollars to help states hire teachers, police officer and lure jobs from overseas.

But Democrats said that Republicans were staging show votes as a political exercise and that the inability to agree to a budget deal stems from Republican refusal to consider higher taxes for the wealthy alongside deep spending cuts.

Senate Majority Leader Harry M. Reid (D-Nev.) accused Republicans of developing a “case of amnesia,” forgetting the legally binding budget deal brokered last summer as they claim the Senate has no budget.

“Republicans aren’t interested in getting anything done this year – they’re more interested in trying to defeat President Obama. So they don’t mind wasting a day of the Senate’s time on useless political show votes,” he said."

Good sound logic.
Why waste an ounce of energy on something that will soon be overturned anyway.

Ask Dingy Harry why he won't bring bills passed by the House up for a vote.

Stlhead used the term 'mental midgets' in his post. It is a bit un-realistic. We the people elect those mental midgets and then
expect them to bow to our wishes. Most of them are only con-
cerned with assuring their re-election at the next go-round.

Does the media do such a good job of selling us a pig in a poke
where the candidates are concerned or does no one pay any
attention to the qualifications of any candidate at any time?
It seems that all elections above the local level are up to the
highest bidder.
Since all elections seem purchase affairs, how do you find a
politician that doesn't owe his/her soul to the special interest
groups or big business that some are always crying about?

And why do bjobs, dress stains, babes via the Bar Sinister or
extra marital affairs have anything to do with a candidiates
ability to take care of business?

Mental midgets was referring to those who take facts out of context, or omit facts, to twist into whatever their pre-conceived notions may be. There are media outlets, politicians, etc who would cease to exist if it weren't for mental midgets so, in that sense, I guess a mental midget might pat himself on the back as being a job creator. Maybe idiots are necessary?

I've heard it takes all kinds to make a world. There are those
that would have no axe to grind without the idiots.
