Borrowed this one off of the net and it turned out really good. Of course no self respecting BBQ'r or smoker would do ribs the quick way like this but then these aren't real ribs and there's only so much time after work.

Season with pepper, minimal seasoning salt and cayenne.
I let mine hickory smoke with low indirect heat first.

Dump the ribs in a foil pan. Cover with your favorite BBQ sauce (three small bottles for me) and add a bottle of beer. Mix it up and cover with foil. Bring to a boil and then simmer for 1 to 1.5 hours until the fat is rendered out. Pull the ribs out and grill them to caramelize the sauce. Serve with the sauce on the side.

A woman from Georgia I know boils her ribs too, but in Coca-Cola. They taste pretty darn good.

There is no molasses in Coke. It's sweetened with high fructose corn syrup, not molasses. It's right on the freekin' can.

Tried your recipe last night. There was only one issue with it.

Not enough ribs for left overs. They were absolutely amazing.

Boiling ribs is like poaching salmon, or boiling a steak.

Dry rub is the way to go. I use a variation of the dinosaur BBQ rub. Then cook on indirect from 45 minute to 3 hours. I recomend that you use a water pan. Provided you do that you can't overcook them as the relative humidity is too high w/o boiling the flavor out of the already too lean factory farmed pig meat.

Then I put my own bbq sauce on the ribs ( a variation of either shack sauce or dinosaur bbq) and put on direct heat 5-7 minutes on each side.

Now country style ribs are even easier given that they are about 40% fat. Dry rub, and grill. Provided you don't torch em (use coal) you can't lose.

I don't think that I'm beter than most at many things. I know pork though.

Dry Rub and Smoke, no grilling or direct flame on the ribs........ever.

Sauce on the side.

See my older posts on the Dark Side for how to do it correctly.........

stlhead, I tried this out with chicken breasts and it turned out great. I have to avoid ribs because of heart issues; although I fall off the wagon every 4th of July weekend and this is the recipe I will use this 4th. Thanks for sharing.

Good. I've never been much of a sauce person but this sauce turns out great.
And for those who can't seem to read if I am doing real smoked ribs I would do my dry rub and either 2-2-1 or 3-2-1 the second phase wrapped with orange juice. No sauce.
