This bird looks to be a true pilots aircraft, much like our homegrown F-16. Bet the drivers have a blast tearing up the sky in it.

The ever menacing Dassault Mirage 2000 on full display & set to a killer tune.....

enjoy.

Saw the 'Angels for the first time as a lad, and they still impress. The best memory was a solo pilot going past the rooftop I was on so close I could see into the cockpit. Then there was that whoosh/roar that followed....

Nice HD version C/22!

It all boils down to this - I'm right, everyone else is wrong, and anyone who disputes this is clearly a dumbfuck.

Canards are so yesterday.

It's about vectored thrust today.

The Saab Viggen has a modified canard-style wing design, though. I'd think someone might still operate them.

Yep canards and delta wings are out of the past.
Google an F22 demo video.
The weak link is the human. (and the O2 system blush)

There's no way a Mirage or the Swede could run with a Raptor.

Besides the UK, other air forces fighter jets are designed to win air battles, were The USA's and UK's are about winning contracts requiring long term mechanical support.

So far, the Fronch, The Pinkos Russkies, Those socialist Swedes, and those homersexualin' Krauts are leaving us in the dust, much to Mr. Hankie's chagrin.
Som much for free market capitalism, Hankie.

We're still turning out Route 66 ready '57 Chevys while Europe has been putting out Autobahn destroying M7's since the wall came down.

Only because Lockheed and Boeing have congressional re-election races by the short n curlies...

Really?

Maybe you could name these superior French, Russian, German and Swedish aircraft.

Doubtful considering the F-22 is the most advanced fighter in the world. Though it will likely be cut in production due to $'s per fighter.
