Well. haven't fished my secret river since i moved to hawaii in 2008. when i used to fish it for summer runs. opening day there would be 12-15 cars parked...5 guys who knew what they were doing. well...i went today. there were 12 to 15 on a FARKING THURSDAY. Turns out every mom , brother and dog has blabbed aout the bodacious summer run fishing on this river. doesnt make a huge difference in my catching numbers but i just hate dealing with these idiots. THEY even said they had fished it EVERYDAY THIS WEEK...they TOOK OFF WORK for the openening WEEK on this small stream. my only saving grace is the upper river that is hard to find logging roads. Enough bit(hing. saw the cars....beelined it up stream....5th cast you just don't expect a bobber down, water was an offcolor...could be bottom...OH $Hit thats a fish thrashing..didnt check the drag...zzzzz fish off. ballls. dumba$$. ok...compose myself....next cast....BOBBER down...oh i got your [Bleeeeep!] now. hahah.
got a good go pro video courtesy of another board member. 2 casts later.....bobber down...shake...off. ah well its barely daylight. didnt want my limit that soon. 4hours...nothing. "oh man yesterday there were at least 20+ fish caught out of here, i saw limits coming out all day. We've been fishing it every day all day since it opened" wow...thanks clyde. good day on the river. nice to get on one of my old streams

and for all the doubters from my post about my buddy Jareds jigs. thats the one i was talking about....also the one he and 'the old man' caught their fish on on the opener where we outfished 20+ other anglers something like 10 to 1. Maybe its the angler thats the issue if your not catching fish on Jareds jigs. My favorite is this one IN THE MOUTH OF THE FISH...peach rage. GetMdry jigs. check 'em out.

see what i love about rivers like that is people think they know...i laugh all the way to limits every year. they dont know the river...the gear...reading water yadda yadda yadda. its just lame dealing with the retards that think the ONE fish they catch or the 3 they see caught is good fishing on slow days. they ask me what gear im using...they pester me with where i was fishing ( the hole they just left usually) blah blah. the little green used to be a secret. i still know a ton abotu that river that keeps me going back at times of year, and places people dont even know. but its still irritating when people with mouths tell people that don't take the time to find the info on a river or research and find their own honey hole. so i smile...and lie my [Bleeeeep!] off...." this fish? oh...yeah just drift fishing eggs up a ways..got lucky really...haven't even touched a fish since then " " been tough fishing eh? yeah me too...must be staging down river for the rains.." BAHAHAH amazing what these kooks will swallow.
