i was wondering if anyone could give me any information on the morton area for elk hunting i have always hunted the naches area but i am getting tired of all the people and the spike only rule and i just moved to south hill of puyallup so its not that far to run down towards the tilton river area in morton i will be using a modern rifle and i was wondering if anyone could give me any pointers i would really appreciate any information thanks mike!!!!

Well the first thing I will tell you is the odds of having a unmolested hunt is going to be slim. There are a few different herds running around this area. Peterman hill has a few elk, but a lot of people know it. I guess you could be one of the lucky ones though. I would say if you go up there to park at one of the many gates and walk in and hope the elk are there that day.

Good Luck and remember you will see a lot of hunters so be prepared.

THANKS FOR THE INFO IS THE PACKWOOD AREA ANY BETTER OR IS IT JUST AS PACKED ANY SUGGESTIONS WHERE TO GO WITH SOME ELK AND NOT AS MUCH PRESSURE THANKS!!!
