I live in Lacy and want to give Grouse hunting a try. Can any of you give me some places to hunt with directions. This week I'm going to give the upper Wynoochie a try, Ive seen them up there while steelhead fishing. Anyother places would be greatly appreciated.

You're in the right place as far as the Wynochee goes. Hunt that whole peninsula as it is prime habitat for ruffs. A couple friends of mine hunt that area pretty religiously every year and do real well.

I have hunted more on the north end towards the Hood Canal up in the hills outside of Quilicene. There is a forest ranger station there that has maps of roads in the National Forest that helped me out a lot.
