OK, figured the pic deal out. (Thanks Redhook).
So this was my 10th trip to Alaska fishing and my first to Craig. This would also be my sons first trip to Alaska. He has been all over the world, to places I will never see so don't think hes been deprived. He has just never been all that into fishing and alot more into MX and snowboarding. It was good to have him make his first trip up and I figured just 3 days, if he loved it great and if he didn't it was just 3 days. He loved it and would go back again.
So here's the story:
Rough seas kept us off the big water the 1st 2 days. The skippers still worked hard to try and get us our fish and by day 3 we had the chance to really see what Craig had to offer.
Day one, Fished with Kim on the Seahunt. Wind gust to 40. First fish for the kid. This was his first trip to Alaska and he had a blast.

Not bad for a first fish. One of the biggest Kings anyone got for the trip. Way to go.

Day 3 we got offshore into some Ling-Yellow-eye grounds. Biggest ling was 44". Nice Yellow eye. Took no time to get a limit.

Kim tells Ty to "hit bottom and real up 3 cranks". Ty hits bottom, reals once and has this Hali on. This was good because based on the Hali fishing on day 2 (inside) I was convinced he would never ever want to Hali fish again.
