I am heading Friday for one of my two annual Salt fixes to area 5. Anyway it is July 16th and It seems odd to me that I have not heard anything on the board about Sekui yet. I heard it was good so far this year from Olosens but was hoping to get the real skinny from some of you hard core fisher people who frequently post. This board is my best connection to the west side and I appreciate the information that you members share.

Fished opening week and slayed them to 26 pounds. All mooching. Downriggers the silvers wouldn't leave me alone.

our freinds are doing great...humpies are pretty much all 7-9 lbs standard...im sure the record will get beat this year...my freind limited his boat with his clients this morning with 9 kings and the rest humpies..not sure about coho...my other buddy i just spoke with just relesed about a 35lber, and has 2 kings and some humpies...he didnt feel good today so he just got out...only been fishing bout a hour...says its like glass and can see thru the fog bout a mile...we are going to go up for the day i guess..its gotta be better than fishing area 9 like we did today...got our limits of dungies though...c

Neah was a wide open nate silver bite earlier this week. Also caught one of those large humpies.
We caught kings but not as big as I hoped for.
We also got a decent amount of clipped silvers.

Thanks for the replies I just called out to VanRypers. They said it has lt has slowed down. I hope it picks up by friday. I guess you never know when another wave of fish will go thru right?

It's the cold front that came in. The fish are there and you are timing it right.

I heard bottom fishing is closed up there but cannot find anything else on it. Does anyone know about that?

Never mind, I just got off the phone with olsens resort and bottom fishing is still open. Seemed weird they would close it, but this is Washington.

I'd just be happy to away from work and crack a barley pop,fishing would be secondary with reports or not.Just saying.Good luck,

Seems funny that this post re-appears right now 1 year later? I am heading out on Friday and staying once again at Van Rypers same room everything. I have heard the fishing has been pretty good hope it holds up till I get there.
