I thought I would share some pictures of my first bull Elk. My Dad and I spotted him and seven cows four weeks before elk season opened; and knew he would be back in that same area. We watched that clear-cut every day from daylight to noon and then from three till dark. Finally on the fourth morning it was snowing I got him Nov 4, 2003

Way to GO!!! Awesome! Man, there's nothing like an elk on the ground! What caliber and cartridge were you using? Can I have a couple of roasts? (I didn't get an elk this year ) Hog

Wow I have never heard of anybody going through an elk that fast! My brother and I will usually split an elk between us, and half will last me well over a year. You must have some heavy duty meat eaters in your family!

My family of 4 will eat a whole elk and a deer in less than 9 months. Stuff don't last round here.
