Just some info for you guys who are headed this way for the late Clearwater whitetail hunt. The F&G has 4x the number of decoy deer ready to set out this year. They approached my family to get permission to set one out on our land near Grangeville. They have already used them with great success near Whitebird this year and they are not playing games. Loss of gun at a minimum. This is not directed at anyone in particular. A few local boys have been nailed and will get crap about it for the rest of their life.

Just let anyone you know thats headed this way for this hunt that its going to happen to a lot of folks that road hunt... and make sure its not them.

I went out with the Wash. game wardens to do a story on the decoy deer program. They told me that every time they put out the deer it got shot. 100% of the time! We had robodeer out less than two hours when a couple of idiots with a loaded 357 under the seat stopped and began whanging away at it.

I learned that there are lots of poachers out there and many road hunters that are not above a little midnight shooting.

You know the old joke about the guy at the check station with the huge buck shot right between the eyes ??? The game warden noticed that it had also been shot right through both front hoofs... when asked how they managed that the guys says " it covered its eyes when we hit it with the spotlight"...
