Anyone got any info on turkey hunting around Kettle Falls? My cousin and I are going over that way for the opener. Never been there and never turkey hunted. I know I should scout, but I can't even get a day off to go springer fishing much less scout for turkeys.

The northside of Hiway 20 is public

I agree with mad max, My wife has a Aunt and Uncle who live on the Kettle Falls Itchleum rd I have hunted deer on their property before because every thing aroud is private land. Her uncle stated that their isn't much public land over there. On the bright side though there are a butt load of turkeys. Good Luck.

I've never hunted turkey's but I did spend a week deer hunting (late archery hunt in Dec.) near Kettle Falls back in 99, I saw turkey's everyday and a couple times flocks of 30+ birds (including toms) stood in the road in front of my truck. Anytime I watch a turkey hunting show and they talk about how hard they are to hunt (which they probably are) I have to laugh when I think of those birds I could of shot out my window.
