28th St could be a real CF with the limited parking.

Talked with the appropriate folks today to ensure the gate to the overflow lot at JR will be unlocked come opening weekend.

I launch alone a lot and maybe I am lucky but the boaters at the ramp for the most part have seemed pretty nice, polite, patient. I know I might take a little longer than some pro's but I also know that I launch a lot quicker than some with multiple people. Sometimes when I am solo people offer help, I always offer to help when it won't cause a delay of others (since I am solo, don't want to have my boat just sitting there while I am [Bleeeeep!] with someone's boat). If I plan on launching solo and I feel it is going to be busy, I just leave earlier and try to beat the crowd. Maybe I have just been lucky but it has worked so far this year. I only live 20min from the launch so I load everything at the house, so the only thing I have to do is remove the trailer straps and back she goes.

Nit wits are a pain. I launched at Twanoh & when I came back, a wind had wiped up the canal a bit. There was about a 14 ft alum boat sideways across the ramp taking on water with about a 12 yr. old boy bailing like crazy as the waves came over the side. A guy in his mid '40s was holding the bow line and watching the kid. An older guy was just watching. I asked why they didn't get the kid out of the boat & one of the guys wade out to swing the bow into the wind so it wouldn't take on water and bail it out 'cause the kid was losing the battle. The guys both just looked at me and said 'we don't have boots and don't want to get wet'. I said that I'd help them get things squared away, get their boat out of the water but both of them were getting wet. If they didn't want my help then I was backing my trailer down and pushing their boat out of the way so I could get mine out. They got the idea and got wet. The only thing they did right was to have the kid wear a life jacket.

Shilshole: show up really early and park close. Bring a buddy or run like hell for thE truck. Expect anything. Be nice.

A1 is there all the time. He's right. It's massive multi use wity a lot of once a year boaters. Wait till the Everett or Edmonds coho derby when you show up at daybreak and there 30 boats tied up to the dock and running, with people rigging gear, tied up because they won't run in the dark. I've had to use the little known and also invisible center lane on those occasions because there wasnt half a boat length left to launch the lanes.

Shilshole is unique. People Yelling swear words wastes my time having to explain to my kid that some adults act like children and I expect more from him. He's five.

As if anyone on this screen cares; I believe that it is the trailer order that prevails, as Todd might say anything else would lead to chaos.

Be kind out there folks, as it is possible that you might be making an impression on (OUR) youth.
