Out of 100 or so trips out this year I saw them maybe 10 times. Always happy to see them, just wish a few had a better attitude.

All of them i have ran into have actually been nice guys. My 2 favorites are Sgt. Kim Chandler and Officer Lance Stevens, both of which work out of king county.

Two guys around here are pretty good, but I ran into a guy on the OP that was less than cordial, even after I asked "how are you doing today?" in a friendly tone.

I mainly hunt the east side and have not seen one in 3 years except at the check station at McNary.
The last one i saw out in the field checked my lic. but didnt look to see if i had a duck stamp. Then he proceded to tell his, obviously new partner, how to identify drake mallards by the wings, which is possible, but who would actually do this to mature drake mallards with bright yellow bills and a green head??? I am pretty sure that these were the first ducks the new guy had seen.

Anyways... both did not impress me and they were the last ones i have seen.

We hunt deer and elk in unit 346. We haven't seen a warden during deer season in the last 10 years. Elk season is a different story,we see them on a daily basis.

Its also weird that we've never seen the warden that lives at the Skagit headqurters. I've hunted there a ton and he's never been around.

Bruce rocks. He's a good friend of mine and one of the best men I've ever known. My experiences with him? I've never thought anything but the best of him. He fights crime and is constantly working with the youth in the area. Great guy.

I did't see a game warden all year. I guess they don't come out when the bow hunters are doing their thing.

Thats because there is not one that lives there. There is a Wildlife Area Manager but no game warden.
A few years back all WLAM and other key personal had their commissions taken from their positions.

I just heard that Bruce Richards was still working and was surprised as I'd figured he'd have retired long ago. LOL

He's a nice guy as long as you're not doing anything wrong wink

I still remember when he came into our 6th grade class to give a talk and threatened to wrap our BB gun barrels around our neck if he caught us shooting birds. Guy looked strong but c'mon, LOL
