I just applied for the spring bear hunts in the two units around Olympia. I recall some posts from last year and was wondering if those that hunted would be willing to point me in the direction of some areas to start scouting. I am working in Olympia for the next two weeks and thought maybe I would start scouting before I leave.

663 within the capitol forest and 653/654 within Kapowsin Tree Farm are the two areas I applied for.

Dang!! The kid beat me to it. I also just applied for those two Spring Hunts and was hoping to find someone to point me in the right direction or take me out scout those areas with them. I live in Covington, and could get together on the weekends, or after work, but I don't get off till 4:30pm.

I have a couple of electronic game calls, and one or two different mouth calls that I'd like to get some use out of. And if you wanted to do this before the end of this month, I still have my cougar tag so....you never know..

I'll buy the gas and beer, but my truck is down right now.

Hope I didn't sound like I was begging too bad.

Wow, no more responses....Guess nobody is going Spring bear hunting. Or maybe it's just nobody needs a bearhunting partner.

Hmm, I thought for sure the offer to buy the beer and gas would entice someone???

Hello,

I was drawn for the Kapowsin South Unit. Any advice on where to hunt within this unit would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Steelthrill
