Page 27 of Sport Fishing Rules May 1, 2012 - April 30, 2013

October 1---November 30.... opens the Salmon retention to 3 adults, of which the total can be:

King/Chinook----1
Coho/Silvers-----2, but only 1 can be wild
Chum----release ALL Chum

To many regulations on this river, in my opinion!!!!!!!! And I don't even fish this river.....

Loc: A coastal river with fish
Its not thats its not open you cant get their due to the gates locked, and there logging there, as well as high fire danger, and since that corner blew out a few years ago, it dont hold fish as well as it use to. good luck to ya

Can't get there by walking, Quigg property now. Can get there by drift or power boat......tide affected, to about the Rainier Bar. Car Body Hole should be a busy place, take a number to cast. Dike Road to about the "school bus turn around".....might be a place to visit with 1,000 of the other lower Humptulips fishermen.

Tight lines!!!!!!!!!!!!

No $hit!......not to mention much of the gravel bar you used to be able to drive down to(pre-locked gates) to launch the boat is gone.

Some years back I made a drive in at O-dark-thirty with boat in tow. There was that last little section of muddy ruts through the trees before you popped out on the gravel bar. I'm poking along and just as The road comes out of the trees all I see is air in front of me...WTF?? The bank had cut away and was about a 6 foot drop straight down to the river. Holy crap!!! I was about 2 feet from launching truck and boat over the edge. Good times backing out of there let me tell you.

Needless to say, that was the end of launching at Rainier Bar.

I have never been all the way down from Raineer to to hwy 106, so my next question is how long a drift is it from the dike put in to the hwy and is this doable? If you would prefer not to put this on the net, pms would be appreciated. Thanks for all the info to this point, used to be a fun fishing trip, camping on the bar, caught some nice fish down there, eggs and herring........thanks
