I drew an archery bull tag in arizona!
It may not be the best tag ever (11M archery, used to be unit 7m), but I'm out there hunting them!

Nice Job! You are in for a hunt of a lifetime. I drew Az unit 8 rifle last year and Teanaway muzzleloader (that's a whole nother story). Are you going with an outfitter or DIY. If there is a lot of public land I'd DIY if you have the time. I ended up with a 320 6x6 on the last day. Good luck. Tom

I've done a ton of hunting over the years and have really gotten into the archery thing latley.
It's been a while since I've hunted Elk, but I'm stoked!

you'll do fine then. One of the biggest problems there is about 50% of the bulls were broken up. That was later on though. Have fun I wish I could go help you pack! Tom

Well done! Isn't that right around Flagstaff? A buddy of mine drew the Unit 1 tag.

No elk tag for me in AZ, which is probably a blessing since I'm already going to NM and also have a WA tag. But I've now got 6 elk bonus points down there, so maybe next year!

Did you know something about 7M/11M that made you apply there? Just wondering how you chose the unit. I.e. whether you've hunted there before, heard good things about it, etc.

Yes, it is just north and east of town.
I put in for it because it is easier to draw than the premiere units and I know some folks that live there..
All tags in Arizona are tough to get.
I'm excited, I have my work cut out for me!
