I am thinking about this area.
We went up there yesterday and didn't see anything except a rattler snake.
Can I get some advise on this unit?

Please feel free to pm.

Thanks

Hunted it the last few years not much happening in that area. Thinking of heading up by Winthrop.

I was just up in 342 hunting elk. During my scouting trips and the hunt itself, we saw a handful of deer, including a few bucks, but not nearly enough to make me want to go back in there for the general buck season. Lots of areas around with higher deer populations (including Winthrop, as BM5x4 suggested). Problem with Winthrop this year is that the Tripod fire burned up a ton of the good country. But those deer have to go somewhere.
