Filled my deer tag today with a forked horn. It was my first day out for deer and I wasnt even gonna go. Got up at 9 am, got out the door at around 10. Walked out into a unit about 3 miles from my house and at about 1145 shot a decent forked horn standing broadside in some big second growth at around 80 yards. about a 40 yard recovery.

I was alone so I had to drag it out about 350 yards to the HWY. That sucked a little bit but it was worth it.

Filled my muzzleloader elk tag in the early season with a nice 6 by 6.

I didnt take any pics of the deer, did of the elk but I decided not to post any pictures.

Luck, yes right place at the rigt time. But if you dont get off the road and walk you have alot less luck.
