Perhaps the best job I ever had was driving for Metro. I drove part time out of East Base. As a part time driver I drove mostly commuter routes so I didn't have to deal with a lot of the ugly side of public transportation. The benefits were great. Health Insurance is so important these days. I am still on COBRA and I can tell you it is expensive! Right around $600 a month! After 4 years I was making $25 an hour and I was driving 25-30 hours a week.

My stepfather put in 30 plus years driving the metro- bus.He retired before it got to ugly.Good beni's and was always food on the table.He drove the 240 route back then.Good luck,
