Fished the Upper Quinault on 3-7-99. Beautiful water, clear blue and dropping, approximately 2,800 cfs. Hooked 4 landed 3 native bucks. All the fish had been in the river some time, and were in spawning colors. The three other boats had two fish, perhaps more. One of the boats reported a tree completely across the section below the bridge, could be difficult to get through in lower water. The lower section of the river has changed significantly over the past year, as usual. Email me if you want more specifics. JT

I JUST CALLED THE OLYMPIC PARK SERVICE YESTERDAY & THE UPPER QUEETS ROAD IS WASHED OUT. DAMN, IT JUST GOT IN SHAPE.

WASH OUT IS AT 7 MILES. GOOD LUCK. WENT TO THE NOOCH YESTERDAY, JEEZ DOESN'T ANYBODY WORK ANY MORE? IT LOOKED LIKE SEAFAIR. CAUGHT 4. RIVER WAS PRIMO.
