can you hold a fly in the lyre--it seems to be pretty fast--i will be bank fishing--if so--what patterns work and any good locations to try?----thanks in advance.

Keep drivin, the lyre can be a decent summer river, and for sure there are some fish to be taken on the fly in the winter, but its an awful lot of work compared to the upper Duc, or the Callawa. If your bound to try it bring plenty of pink and white bunny leaches and weight them heavy to get them down in a short drift. You might throw in some purple to cover all your bases. This is not the river for long swings with spey flies. Have fun!
