How long does the steelheading hold out for the Peninsula rivers? How about the Wynoochee?

I broke my foot and won't be able to get out for 2-3 weeks. Hoping there may be some fish left by then.

You can find some of the best fishing in April! Fishing pressure drops off the face of the earth, fish are in! You might find a springer on the Hoh or Duc. Puget Sound rivers are in prime time for nates too, we hooked a fish a day, every day in april last year on the Sky! Except for 2 days due to a rapid rise in water. Watch out for the warm rainy days, the Sky will blow out in a couple hours! I know Bob kicked some butt out there in April, I was jelious at the size on a daily basis. Many of the fish are chrome bright straight out of salt too!

Things usually remain pretty good right on through ... many of the streams continue to see new fish all the way into June ... as the season goes on though, you'll encounter more downers, just be careful to adjust tactics to help reduce the harm to them (limit the use of divers and bait)
