A friend and I are going to do some fishing next weekend. We will be fishing Fri, Sat, Sun & Mon. We will be after steelhead with flies. We are thinking about the Skykomish & the Olympic Peninsula. Any thoughts?

You didn't mention if you were going to be fishing from a boat or not. If not then I would head for the upper soleduck. Maybe even the upper Bogey above 101 bridge. The rest of the lower rivers are getting pounded by the boats especially on the weekends. Check out Bob's report for the Hoh and you'll see what I mean. If you can stand the crowds then go for it, I can't so I'll wait for the weekend to end.

Dave's advice is right on ... it is all gonna depend on the water conditions though ... and seeing how this season has gone so far, I'm not even going to think about predicting how things will look!

two bit on the sky is a good place, with some good holes. Try a purple egg sucking leach. good luck
