Hi, Could someone tell me the correct mathematical formula for catch and release fish "guestimation"? Thanks John

Girth Squared X Length, divided by 775

The formula girth squared X length / 775 is correct for male specimens.

The correct denominator for pre-spawn females is 730.

Note: The formulas are based on the fork length of the specimen. "nose to the center of the tail"

The hen formula is new to me ... the denominator seems to work fine with either sex ... unfortunately, I've had the opportunity to test it many times in the local shop here in town.
