Lamiglas classic glass 82dr; excellent plug rod. Todd is right, I took his advice on the same question and couldn't be happier with the rod. The price is just gravy.

I prefer glass but I have two Shimano Clarus 7'9" magnum tapers that are exceptional. Shimano bought Loomis... Same taper, lifetime guarantee but $59 on sale.

I saw them on Tackle Direct recently.

If you are digging at the bottom of the barrel, these are a great choice.

Where's the love for the Fenwick FS80C? One of my favorite brown glass rods. 8-20 lb line rating, soft tip with lots of backbone. I have a FS83C, but am kinda partial to the shorter rod for spoons, plugs, heavier water, and fish over ten pounds. Thanks to an over hanging branch, the FS83C is now a FS81C. I'm sure it would be a good plugging rod, too.

I've got some cheap 1 pc Berkley IAM7's that are really good plug rods. They also double as really good Sokeye rods.

I'd trade them in a heartbeat for a couple of Lami glass rods as they are not only the best for the money but the best period.

Nice boat...I talked to Joe about it today and told him I'd get it if you didn't!

You'll love it, I'm sure.

Fish on...

Todd

Okuma SST-C-710

7'10" Plug rod, it has a mag-taper just like G Loomis HSR series, and is under $70. Boat ho with someone that has a set, and check em out for yourself. I love mine!

While I am not a professional forum jockey, I've fished a bit and would recommend the Okuma SST's.
