Has anyone heard a rumer of the Icicle opening for springers?

talked to the gamies' last week and they said don't tie too many hooks

Fish the Icicle every year. They may not
open it this year, but they say this every year! They need 1,000 fish back into the hatchery before they open it.
If they get that many it will open I guarantee it. Most of their volunteer work
comes from one of the strongest TU chapters in the state and they like to fish their springers! Also the gentleman that runs the Icicle hatchery is also a memeber!!
Watch the dam counts at Rock Island 75%
of those fish are headed for the Icicle.

Just wanted to add that Friday the count
was at 114. Today the Adult spring total
was at 786. Remeber 75% the goal is 1,000.

Thanks for the info!!! I also fish it every year it's open. Sounds like it could possibly open if it's 75%. Great river to Plug you can float it twice in one day.Ilooked up WDFW home page and found out Drano will open May 20th to may 31st.

Just wanted to clarify something I had
written earlier. Icicle hatchery needs
1,100 before it opens. Latest reports
show 930 over Rock Island Dam. They
will open the gate at the hatchery tomorrow. Watch the Wenatchee river
flows for an idea on how the melt is going.
