It was only a matter of time. If you are not going to let a defender use his helmet to tackle a player, then you cannot permit an offensive player to use his helmet as a weapon either. This new rule only applies outside the line of scrimmage area so it won't hinder Lynch very much.

The new rule is just too subjective to me. The more you interject the refs into the game the more watered down the game becomes in my opinion.
I saw lots of flags thrown on defensive players last year that should have never gotten called. Just good hard hits.
