This is a gun question but not hunting related so I posted here. Anyway, I have a Steyr M9 with a couple of 15 rd clips....um ..magazines that I keep loaded all the time. Should I be concerned with the springs losing tension from being compressed over a long period of time?

Correct. They will wear out over time, but I put over 12,000 rounds through a S&W 4006 running 5 mags and never had to replace any springs.

Thanks for the replys. i thought the spring being fully compressed all the time might weaken it and possibly not feed well. I wouldn't worry about it anymore.
