Everyone with a pen or computer or both needs to write to the WDFW Commission and ask for the resignation of Lisa Pelly and Will Roehl, they are the WDFW commission members who publicly supported No On I-696 in volitation of their own ethics standards as public officals. You should also write to the governor and demand that they step down because of the appearance of a conflict of intrest. The e-mail for the commission is commission@dfw.wa.gov and the governor can be e-mailed thru the wa.gov web page. Those two commission members have violated the public trust and can not be trusteed to be fair and unbiased Phone number for the commission is 360 902-2267.

very good idea but of little use. you will never get a response from the commission or the governors office. i have tried unsuccessfully on numerous occassions. especially if you are disagreeing with them or are calling them on their b.s.. the best way to get to these commissioners is to get your state legislator to force a confirmation hearing if they haven't been confirmed or get them to issue a vote of no confidence and for the governor to replace them. that is what happened to jolene unsoeld.

It never hurts to send in your oponion. If they hear from enough of us something might get done. Keep up with the e-mail and letters if we all try to do our part then something will be done. Don't forget to send the same maessage to the (former) governor.

Well maybe we did stir up the pot a little with 696. I DID get a reply to an email I sent to WDFW. November 1, 1999
Thank you for your email correspondence to the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife (WDFW). Director Koenings has reviewed your message regarding commercial fishing in south Puget Sound and asked me to respond directly to you. You expressed interest in the study of south Puget Sound and possible changes in the habitat and asked if we would be including a review of bottom trawling in the study.
We will include commercial fishing as part of the review. However, it is unlikely that bottom trawling is a significant factor in the coho decline as trawling has not been allowed in southern Puget Sound for over 10 years.
Thank you for your interest in this study.
Sincerely, Greg Bargmann Fish Program
It may be BS, or "toss the kid some candy" but at least it is a reply. Keep up the correspondence, let 'em know we are here and will not go away.
