Looking for a long ranger. Need a 30mm tube, big power range like.... 3-15X or 6.5-20X, mil dot, must have side parallax focus. You get the picture.
Whatcha got?

Nightforce, Swaro, Zeiss with NF being the leader in LR precision, but the swaro has better glass.
Huskemaws aren't bad either.

c/22 Let's do it this way. How far is your idea of Long Range? What cartridge/bullet combo? Which LRF are you employing? What are you wishing to connect with? 30mm tubes mount high,10x and higher glass routinely hurts more than it helps(trace/impact are lost),mildots are far better in theory than application and side focus isn't a game changer. For most puruits I'd rather have an extra 20-40MOA yielded via mounting system, than going to a bigger tube diameter. Very easy to field 40MOA of ele erector travel aboard 1"glass,in such a fashion. 40MOA will stretch most LRF's to their limits and then some, though that is of course a function of cartridge/bullet and atmosphere. TicTac Hunting at the 1300yd line is a specialized niche, that would begrudgingly have me fielding more X's than my tried & true mainstays...though I may dope the erector and hold subtension anyhow,in such a pursuit. What do I got? I got it all.(grin)

Let me guess, you're going to recommend a Leupold which won't return to 0 with the consistency of a NF with zero stop and doesn't have the glass quality of the Germans. There is a reason Special forces and the Army sniper team use Nightforce scopes.
