Although I Fish the Cowlitz primarily from a sled The last creel census said bank anglers averaged a fish for every four rods. Has anyone been down? I have been too busy with work and Christmas to even wet a line.
The latest reports I got from the W.D.F.G are at The Friends of the Cowlitz Page at http://members.tripod.com/Friendsofthecowlitz/index.html under links and fishing reports Let me Know how the fishing is, good or bad so I can Post it there. Thanx Ramprat

Rampart you are getting BS from that site. I get a report every week from the City of Tacoma on fish operations and in the last two weeks only 28 winterrun fish have gotten to the hatchery each week. Not much room to fish at Blue Creek with the water at 16000 +.

Actually I run the F.O.C. web site and the only info I get is from T.P.U. and The W.D.F.W who Tacoma power pays to run the Hatcherys, generally the fish numbers jive. If there is a discretion between the two I post the lower number. I realise that the flow is 16000 but when I posted it was at 13 still awful high but fishable (If you like to plunk anyway I don,t!)All I wanted was a report from someone who had fished good or bad. to post on the F.O.C. site Thanks for the reply Ramprat

Fella's- I was on the cow both sat and sun pulling plugs and never touched a fish. I have a nice new sled with a top, heat, comfy seats etc. and would love to have some company on the river any weekend. In exchange for the use of the sled, I will expect some education on bait-free drift fishing. I expect some emails from you guys on potential trips down to the blue creek area. (especially you bankies since the flows are currently at 13,800). I have basic drift gear and bobber gear, but pull plugs almost exclusively. I also have reliable info on the whereabouts of the 10-13 lbs. fish in the cow. Got the info after the end of the day on sunday. Wit45cal@aol.com
