Class 6 rapids? Class 6, by definition, is not survivable. If someone runs a 6 and survives, it automatically is reclassified as a Class 5. Niagra Canyon is therefore a Class 5.

That would be savage Brewer but in reality some of those hydraulics would likely rip the tiller out of your hand faster than you could fart.

I don't want to go on that ride.
I love the standby power, however.
Cool vid!

Hell, I'll make that run for you and I've only ran a sled once. Haha. All joking aside, with your rowing experience you'll be fine running any of our local criks. Lets get that beast out there soon and put some blood in it! smile

I love this stuff, super exciting. I have insufficient real experience to differentiate between the awesome being the engineering the machines or the execution on the water??? I'm sure good helpings of both are required.

I'm also insufficiently experienced in sleds to know how close/easily this could all go bad. Seems dangerous, but not in that preposterous that humanity does this kind of thing. Those guys on the x-games half pipe or whatever, that seems preposterous to me.

If you like to watch this kind of racing, there will be a couple of races in Port Angeles this summer/fall. There are also races in OR at a couple of tracks.

There is a race this Saturday in Albany. Fun stuff, so much fun I sold the drifter and bought one. Plan to race in 2014.

Still working on it, but it's a 12'6" aluminum hull. Going to dropping in a 600HP small block chevy to push a 8.25" pump. 0-80 in 2.8sec. Will burn through 2 gal of 112 octane race fuel in 55 seconds. You need to come out to P.A. for the Aug 10th race. You could come back and hang out in the pits. I am pitting for another team this year to learn some tips on pump/boat setup.
