Yeah, you can tell the whole thing is staged...that hoop isn't more than eight feet high.

Fish on...

Hoop is probably closer to 9'. Gimme a break.

There is a follow up story that says soon as the video stopped both white males where shot and they used The Book of Mormon to roll up marijuana cigarettes. Look it up.

Back in grade/middle school we used to play bball on an 8 foot rim. We called it "Dunk Hoop" because we called no fouls and you could goal tend; basically you had to dunk or be very strategic to score from the outside. We had no 3 in the key either but pretty much kept all the other normal rules. At 6' tall, I could stand on my tip toes and just barely scrape the bottom part of rim. That was the most fun I ever had playing basketball as it was a combination of bball and football but when we got into more organized play, we had to dramatically change our game or we would have fouled out in the first quarter. But it taught us not to be wimps.

Anyway, I bring this up because although hard to tell from the angle, I think the rim is taller than 8 feet but certainly not taller than 9 feet, not that it matters a whole lot.

I too played hundreds of pickup games in Yakima. several elementary schools had 8'6" 9' rims. they were very popular places. obviously this court or hoop is very sloppy.

for those who posted that this was rigged has never played pickup games with the bruthas. bruthas don't like getting faced on a dunk by any whitey much less two in white shirts and black tyes. listen to the jargon, the two bruthas are getting jeered pretty good from the bruthas in the gallery.

I grew up in NY and don't know one brutha that would play on a court that was NOT regulation!

Course things could be different where they were playing at...

Dude in my H.S. dunked with his mouth open. Caught his front teeth in the net, and ripped'em out as he came back down. Damn that left a bunch'o blood on the court.
