Sorry slayer, bad news-the river exploded and doesn't carry water any more.

Witnesses tell me the entire state of washington was on the river today and the sheer mass of all the sleds, drift boats and waders displaced all of the river channel's water from the dam to the mouth. The fish said "I'm outta here" and went somewhere else where there is a little more peace and quiet.

Sorry, had to get that out of my system. Seriously though, if you drive the river you will see numerous access points. Just remember to ask first if on private property.

This river really is a joke for bank fishing this time of year with the combat conditions. just my opinion. I'd look for a smaller river that doesn't get the pressure.

Eric, thats one of the funniest posts I've read in a long time. I'm with you, my favorite river has turned into the biggest CLUSTER****'s in the whole state. Even the upper river is as crowded as I've ever seen it. I can't take any more. I'm going back to some of my old spots, maybe when I drift I'll only see six outher boats instead of twenty-six. And maybe I wont need to take a ticket to get my boat out of the water. Good luck with the Nooch Eric, and try not to go Postal on any of those sleds when your on the river.
