I had to go up to Darrington this weekend but didn't get a chance to fish. Notice about 12 rigs parked at Hazel both days. Is this an indication of hot fishing or what? Was anyone there that can comment on what drew the crowd?

Howdy, I was'nt there this weekend, but it has'nt been too bad at Hazel for me this year. Last week as the the river went out,I got 2 Dolly's (which of course were carefully released.) And lost a fresh looking Steelhead. The fly fisher's are loving the riffle below the big pool. The thing about Hazel is it draws more looky-loo's than any hole I've ever seen so don't drive by without seeing if the honey hole is open. It's worth a shot!

I drive by Hazel twice a day on my way to and from work. There has been a lot people fishing for the past two weeks. There were 3 rigs there this morning before 7:00am. Sounds like there are a handful of fish caught most days. The ones I have seen have been small hatchery fish. Friday after work I walked in above the C-Post bridge and fished the last hour of light. Ran into 2 guys that had a fish.
