Gotta take my father in law fishing. He is from Texas. Wondering what the status of HI Bridge launch is these days. Is there enough water to run down to 522? Pinks would do it for him.

If you have a pump no problem, I have seen a few small 12' prop boats do it but it gets a little skinny just above the stump garden.

Going up the sky is another story, I've seen a couple sleds stuck on the bar at the confluence, it's easy if you know where to go, I suggest following someone else up for your first time

Coming down from high bridge in a small boat should be no problem, I have a pump and have not tried running up yet but will when we get just a wee bit more water.

The aforementioned stump garden is just above what we have known it as the leg hole, (back in the 90's a leg was found there) and about two hundred yards above the Doug bar.

Hope this helps.

The biggest problem getting into or out of the Sky is the line of boats that anchor right where it dumps in, you need to be on plane going in or out and this means getting rather close to them at times.

This could be why some boats have run up on the gravel, being nice and trying to give them some space aims you right into the shallow stuff.

To and from the launch is easy, nothing there to worry about.

Okay! Thanks, now I have a report. Took the GF we twitched the jigs, spanked the humpies. Launched at Cady, what a mess. We did not have any trouble but there was some drama for sure.

I wanted to take out at low tide just to see if I could, around 1300.

Shocked to see more people putting in than taking out. So just watching and this guy backs his trailer off the end of the ramp. Cannot pull it out. I got my boat over the top of the back of his trailer and used my push pole to get a rope under the ass end of the trailer. Got bubba to pull up on the trailer and we got just enough so they guy could get it out.

I think there might be a ho around.

Early in the morning there was a major rant by some guy with pleated slacks. We never figured out what his complaint was. Me and some guy with some cool tats had launched and were just milling around. This was a major screaming thing, never did figure out what he wanted.

There is enough water to drive a sled up to 522 for sure, and I think above that. Some guys that looked like they knew what they were doing had come down.
