I use to own one in 270 and 30-06, shooting 180s out of the 06. So I'm pretty familiar with the recoil out of them. The stock fits me very well and recoil is not noticed much. I also plan to have the barrel ported, I have it done on my 308 which kicks like a 223 now.

I have a 300 and a 300wsm tikka lite. Both kicked like mules. But after a new stock and muzzle brakes they shoot great. Im a tough guy and I couldnt shoot more than 6 rounds without thinkin about the recoil before. Nice rifles. Not for sale.

The recoil isn't an issue for me. But after owning a rifle that's ported, its sure nice being about to watch your impacts. I'll take a ported barrel every day for that reason.
