Alas, even with that extra day Feb. flew by all to quickly. My passion for creek Steelhead has not been satisfied. My pal Steve and I are going to the Makah Res. to fish the Waatch,Sail, and Sooes. I do know that the weir is removed from the Sooes at the end of Feb. But I don't know much about these Stream's. Should we stay close to tide water, or is the action spread upstream. Help me out here if you can. Thank You!

Humpie. I Talked to one of the guys at the Hatchery on the sooes and he said that they get a nice run in march. I have fished it at tidewater for Coho and have had some success the numbers of hatchery Coho that they get back are impressive and that is one reason you can get them on the tides. I think that your best bet for nates would be to cover more water upstream. post your results if you go

Thank's Side Slider, there's only one thing that can stop me from getting to the Sooes. It's a little river that's on the way, that's open for two more week's. I have a feeling if the water's right I'll do a two day and sample all of the above. I'll gladly report, as long as You don't think I'm bragging. Got the Life!!
