Iv'e always used the ultra green as leaders but stringed up the chamelon this weekend while fishing for Springers. I really like the chameleon and will probally stick with it.

I tie all my steelhead leaders on 6, 8, and 10 lb. Max. ultragreen, I've used Cham. as well as other brands but I always come back to ultragreen, I also tie 800-1000 30 and 40 lb. leaders for Ak. salmon and halibut fishing all on Max. ultragreen, good fishing.

Majority of the time, ultragreen. But when fishing those tea-colored streams (i.e. Pilchuck Crk, or Goodman) I like 8 or 10 lb chameleon for leader. Makes sense to me, and every once in awhile I make the connection.

Read the Feb.-Mar. issue of STS mag. about the new Invisible Flourocarbon line. Sounds like it could revolutionize fishing leaders for clearish water. - Steve Hanson
