Here's one from today. Got a boot coho and 2 fat rain cutties off the same bead. It's my number one producer.

Hey JDAR you should tell us what's your going reveal at your bead seminar at Fisherman's Marine tonight. zip

Chinook like them from time to time as well.

I haven't found any one of the 5 salmon species that won't eat a bead, though some eat them more readily than others. I get fresh silvers chasing them down quite regularly while fishing for trout.

For those that think bead + salmon = flossed, not so. It is easy to tell the difference with a little practice.

Jacks (or as AP calls them "sneaky f*ckers") of any species gobble beads up pretty readily.

Imprinting is a powerful thing, though as I finally witnessed this past fall, steelhead still seek out freshly dropped eggs for an easy meal.

The great thing about beads (well there's many) is when the fish are biting them good, you may get back to back to back fish on so many casts. I've done five fish in five or six casts multiple times without moving my feet. They also shine when fished in areas with heavier pressure.

Unfortunately they don't always fish as well, even when the conditions suggest they should.
