Well I gotta pit my 2 bits in!!! I wish more women would take up this sport. Try and find one that is willing to put in the effort to go sometimes is hard enough. One that loves it as much as me, now that has to be rare! At 22 I can say most women my age will say just about anything but when it comes down to it they only like fishing when it's sunny and warm and when the fish are biten. I have been out fished by girl friends and it will put a dent in the ego. At this time I don't have one so I really don't have that problem. Maybe some day I will slow down enough for one but I am a go-go guy and am working or going to school or trying to go fishing. so If I had one that I could take fishing every weekend then that would be cool. I have herd those words" all you wanna do is fish". to bad they were so norrow minded, there is more to life than fishen. Not much. I baught a NEW drift boat with the money I was going to spend on the ring for my X after she dumped me. now I think that was a wise investment. she lost out.

I gotta say waders do look much better on a fine woman than any guy so wear them with pride gals. With the number of fish I have caught this year that maybe the only thing that makes my day on a river.

I guess it depends if your sled is big enough for the kitchen sink, washer, and dryer. Careful, keep spare hooks off the bottom of the boat, her bare feet and all. "Honey, whatcha makin' for lunch?" JUST KIDDING!! Of course it's alright. That's kind of a dumb question.

P.S.-- Quick!!! Reel your lines in!!! My first time back as a 'RETURNING ADULT'. Hey, quit tryin' to snag me, ya jerk!!! Uh oh, nets!!! Boy, that hard plastic ball and yarn sure looks tasty!!! AAAHHHHHHHH!!!!

I like it when my wife goes with me, I wish she would go more often. She is pretty much a great fisher when its warm and theres an evening bite, she hates getting up early. But that is when I have my time alone then I go pick her up and she fishes the evening with me. Plus there great to have along if its crowded or you want to fish a certain spot. Because while all the other guys are looking at her I get my cast in to the good spot, then Bam " fish on" . And who could forget about the night time entertainment, so I suggest everyone teach your wife or girlfriend how to fish and it will save your relationship! Peace Superfly

I've fished with the same woman for 43 years, 41 of them while married. It's been great! The only problem is trying to motor from point A to point B...She keeps seeing water that MUST be fished before we can continue. God what I have to put up with huh? :-)

My wife loves to fish(when the weathers warmer) and my grand daughter has had her way with a few trout in her day!

I think women should fish. I was a single father rasing my 2 year old daughter and she was my buddy fishing, and still is at age 7. My wife now enjoys fishing with my now 3 girls and one son. We can all do it! Not all types of fishing would I take my female fishing partners but they can make it fun.-------------------fish on!

Here's how to check her out before you get married. Drive all night to La Push and rent one of those beat up kicker boats with a 25hp motor. Beat your up to Carrol Island and start fishing. O.K.,O.K.,you should cut the bait for her. She should catch no more than a couple of salmon more than you do. If she does catch more than that, don't worry about it. When a brisk south wind comes up, start back to La Push and say something like "I hope this boat holds together long enough to get back in." A bit of rain will help too. Now drive back home, it's OK if she sleeps on the way home. If she has a cheerfull attitude, doesn't complain and doesn't get seasick, marry her. That's what I did 21 years ,two kids and many adventures ago.
P.S. Norwegian women=tough as nails and good looking too!

What's the point?

According to my wife, she could stand near me when steelhead fishing, totally naked with $100.00 bills taped on her and I wouldn't even notice. (I don't think I wouldn't, even though I'm pretty obsessed when I fish - she is a gorgeous redhead, and not totally stupid).

Huntar, you might not notice but the other guys sure would. Ask her when and where she plans on doing this. I will be there. J/K. Anyway, Becareful with rental boats and Pilot Boats. I rented a boat at PA one year and had a damn power boat and Pilot boat swamp my butt. Ever see three guys in a 14 foot boat with over a foot of water in it? NOT FUN. This happened inside the harbor. Dumb ass captain was throwing a four to six foot wake. We had nothing to due but hold on. The power boat was too close to us to motor over his waves and then turn around for the other. Good old USCG did nothing, of course.

I don't know if this is the answer you're looking for or not, but....

My beautiful "other half" and I were married in the middle of a river seven years ago. The second day of our honeymoon was spent on the Cowlitz River on a guided spring chinook fishing trip. Our summer vacations have included numerous trips to Westport, Sekiu, and Port Angeles on our 23' boat. And yes, she frequently out fishes me. (unlike my other fishing partners) And on those slow fishing days.... well, lets just say that we find other things to do! May our lives always be blessed with each other as fishing partners. The company is second to none!! (and she smells lots better too!)

SALTY-DOG SHOULD BE LUCKY-DOG
KNOW ANY GOOD BABY-SITTERS? MY WIFE LOVES TO FISH AND I LOVE TO HAVE HER ALONG. UNFORTUNATLY, THE YOUNG ONES MAKE IT NEAR IMPOSSIBLE FOR BOTH OF US TO GO.
LOVE TO SEE THE WOMEN OUT THERE NO MATTER WHAT THEIR SKILL LEVEL.
