Well, Jaydee played it tactically and went opposite of Nick, but it didn't pay off as the Hawks smashed the Rams... With the 9ers pulling out a victory at GB, the contest goes on! Both teams win and we have one more week, else this is the end.... Current standings:

Seattle is an 8 point favorite at home, SF is a 2 point favorite on the road... So if you pick HAWKS they must do 6.5+ points better in their game vs Saints than SF does vs. Carolina. (exactly 6 points is a push/tie)
I'm out of the contest chase, but I'm picking HAWKS because I'll be there ruining my voice trying to make Drew Brees miserable.
IMPORTANT CHANGES as season winds down...
1. If you have 4 or more points (and thus are in the mix still) PM your picks to me this week, to avoid a game of last-post-chicken.
2. INCLUDE A TIE BREAKER -- the tie breaker will be a predicted spread in the final HAWKS game of the contest. Something like "Hawks by 10"
So a proper entry reads like:
HAWKS
Tie breaker: Hawks by 3
or
NINERS
Tie breaker: Hawks by 7
In the event of a tie in the overall score, closest tie breaker on last week of the contest will win the prize.

Okay, the chase for the championship is down to 4 people who can possibly win... Their picks this week are (tie breaker in parenthesis):
STANDINGS before this game
Nick: 6
Jerry: 5
Jaydee: 4
RvW: 4
RvW: Hawks (Hawks by 10)
Jerry: Hawks (Hawks by 13)
Nick: Hawks (Hawks by 6)
Jaydee: Niners (Hawks by 4)
IMPLICATIONS
* Nick is in the drivers seat... Wins the contest outright if either the Hawks lose, or the Niners lose, or if both win and the Hawks do better against the spread than the Niners.
* RvW is mathematically eliminated. He needed to gain 2 wins on Nick, and they both picked HAWKS, so he can't win the big prize. Sorry!
* Jaydee is two back, but still has a chance, needs both Hawks and Niners to win this weekend, and Niners to do better against the spread than Hawks.
* Jerry can't gain ground on Nick (both picked Hawks), he has to hope for both Niners win and Hawks win and to draw into a tie in the NFC championship.

Well well!
We live for a final week! Both teams won and NINERS did much better against the spread than the Hawks did, so only Jaydee gets points.
Nick holds at 6.
Jaydee gains a point to tie with Jerry at 5.
Everyone else is eliminated...
FINAL week will be the NFC championship! Spread opened at Hawks by 3.5, but we'll give Vegas a few days to let that settle out.
