I guess we can all learn from this, it is a shame we live in the "ME" era. It seems more often than not is from not knowing any better. I do know that violence is not the answer, usually education is the best solution.

Something that has worked when I have helped people land nates: First I say something like 'that is a beautiful native, isn't it catch and release here' and then I keep the fish in the water and ask if they want me to release it or if they want to do it? this usually gets the fish back where it belongs.

Anyway, it has been my experience that all things come full circle at the end of the day.
