I need several Ambassaduer reels repaired w/washers and so on. I have tried to call Balcombs in Montesano but no phone # listed. Is he out of business?
Any one have a phone # or a address for repair some other place? Got to do it right away.

Balcomb is still in business...don't know what is up with his phone...just make a run to Monte and yack at him....He has always done a good job for me but you got to stay on him to get it done!

If Balcomb's don't work out for you, Puget Sound Sports in Olympia fixes Ambasaduer Reels. I know their technician, He does good work.

Yes you are right....they do good work there also! Sure is nice to have a few of these guys around when you need them!!

I had a couple Ambass. made either direct drive or drag by a button on the reel. I lost the address of the person in Seattle who does this (Links?). Does any of theses other places do this? Thanks

I'm sorry to see that, I have had him fix many reels for me in the past. He was a good guy but gave to many local river reports. fp

Dick, I own one of the reels that you are talking about, and I wouldn't trade it for anything. The tech at Puget Sound Sports in Olympia has serviced it in the past. He is familiar with converting them. He also has a lot of Ambassadeur parts on hand. Last I talked to him, he was working between 10:00 and 2:00 Saturdays only. Good luck.
