I have 5 cameras out now that I am actively watching. Anybody else?

What pictures do you have so far?

No camera here. I just watch out my front and back windows. We have two new little fawns in the yard, so my new deer fence around the raised bed garden will not be in vain. And I noticed that one of last year's fawns is sporting little spike antlers in velvet this year.

I just set up my first camera last Friday. Then about a 200 yards away and downhill I see a bear cub so I'm thinking I placed it in a decent spot.

I've got two more ready to go just need to get out and find a good spot.

Cool. I have one more camera that was pointing down at the bear, but I didn't check it. Hopefully it got a decent picture or two.

Great pics Willy!

After a lot of research I settled on the Bushnell trophy hd. Cabelas had last years model on sale for $150 or so. I hope any pics I get turn out that well.

Walmart has some TASCO game cameras, made by Bushnell. $50. They run off of 4 AA's, and provide good pictures.

Same spot as my first spot.

I just moved this camera to another spot to cover more area.

On areas where you are concerned about trespassers, mounting cameras up high helps a lot. Mine are about 15' up in trees secured to a base that points downward. They are also camouflaged, and concealed under mesh netting.

Really nice pics. My camera was stolen, no pics from me. Was surprised someone found it, thought it was fairly well camoed.

I know of a few folks who have had cameras stolen, which is why I've always made it a pain in the ass to get to them.

With Eyes in the Woods, when we are setting cameras we have come up with some pretty ingenious hides for the cameras we use to get license plate pictures. Stumps, and a few other tricks.

I've got 4 out now (for the last month) and 3 more on the shelf at home. Going back up in the next couple weeks to check them and put up the last 3. Gotta be strategic with placement, I've yet to lose one over the last 6 years of doing it...

Grass is getting tall outside my deer fence exclosure, and I was noticing the obvious and well-used trail. This thread got me to thinking about a trail camera. I sold the one I bought and installed when I was building the house. I might get another one. There are lots of deer in the neighborhood, but we mostly see fawns, does, and yearlings. There's gotta' be bucks in the mix, and a trail camera might be the best way to find out just who all is using the trail system that goes around my fence. We think we've got 'em out of the planted and tended yard now, but it required adding gates on both the south and north sides of the house. I told my wife if the deer get into the yard one more time I'm going to order some broadheads along with the target arrows. Varmints!
