From the title of this thread, I thought it was going to be a picture of one of Mergs bleached out hair chicks, holding her breath til her face turned purple.

The purple scheme prisms on the Chinook backs are amazing.
I caught mine Monday while on a charter. The boat limited out for Chinook with 13 with ˝ the boat catching their hatchery silver to round out some full limits.
Overcast and 59 degrees a sort of welcome change from the heat.

Westport was on fire yesterday. Charter fishing aboard to Hula Girl, we landed 22 kings biggest was 25 pounds. The rest averaged 20 to 14 pounds, I myself, mooched up 5 of the keeper Kings. We also landed 14 hatchery coho's, couple around 8 pounds and several Yellow Tail rock fish fishing in the same spot. Kings were down deep, captain told me to try to empty your reel to get down to them. Hooked most of the kings 2 feet off the bottom in 180 to 300+ feet of water.

I also came home with a bonus that Eyefish would be proud of, got all the collars off the kings that others had filleted by the deck hand, got them in the brine already for smoking. Going to be some good greasy eating. Love those collars off URB's.

Hoping for a reprise this Sunday. Water looks a bit too big for my vessel on Saturday, but things are forecast to settle down Sunday.
Creel guy I talked to said that a HUGE dent was put in the quota the past two weeks. Hoping it lasts as long as the intended season without emegency restrictions.
